Carol W Miller - About Me
My massage resume starts in 1994 with my graduation from Baltimore School of Massage in Towson, Maryland. Since that time I have been hands-on in just about every venue from Spa Lady Gym to the Mayo Clinic Hospital. I am NCBTMB board certified, a member of and insured by ABMP and licensed in the state of Virginia.

  1. Board Certification #008907-00
  2. Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals member #1130498
  3. Virginia license #0019008955

My massage style has evolved over the years, mostly combinations of Swedish, Deep Tissue and Myofascial techniques, customizing for the client's expressed needs. Young Living essential oils are always available for a massage!

My career in Massage Therapy has spawned many things. My daughter is a massage therapist, and owns a successful spa in Firestone, Colorado. I had the amazing opportunity to work for her when I lived in Colorado.

In the fall of 2017, I spent 31 days with my double-amputee son as he ran a full marathon every day in a different city, traveling across the country in an RV with his wife Pam and a driver. During the Month of Marathons Rob got two massages a day from his proud mom. During this time I used all my tools to keep him going, focusing on pain relief, flexibility and inflammation reduction. His final marathon was in Washington, DC on Veteran's Day!

My personal goal is to raise awareness of baby massage as a cultural practice so all babies will be massaged, as bonding is so important for parents and their offspring. I expect the feedback to support the belief that healthy families include baby massage in their regular routine.

The huge benefits were documented more than 40 years ago, with little progress being made to make it a commonly accepted practice since then. I hope to change that with the promotion of my Quick Start Guide, taking it into new places to be shared, not as a product to be sold. Using the guide puts the massager way ahead of the game by having the basics of doing a baby massage. I want massaging our babies to become as commonly encouraged and accepted as breast feeding is today.
